This corn on the cob with a flavoured butter blend is ultra tasty. Turn your average corn on the cob into a snack truly delicious with this trio of delicious butters.

To make the butters, take 100g of good quality salted soft butter. Beat with a wooden spoon until soft and creamy. Alternatively, you can just leave the butter out of the fridge to soften. When the butter is soft, add the desired flavourings to the and continue to beat the mix until you have an even consistency.

Spoon the butter mix onto a square of cling film, roll it into a sausage shape then twist the ends to seal. Store in the fridge to allow the butter to harden.

Build a fire in your firepit or chimenea and wait for the heat to build and the flames to die down. While you are waiting, wrap your corn on the cob and lashings of the homemade butter in tin foil.

When your wood fire is ready, place in the embers of the hot fire and turn frequently until hot.

TIP! These butter blends are so versatile you can make whatever flavour butter you wish. Garlic, parsley and parmesan is also a great combination and complements meats, vegetables and bread as well!
