Make this handpicked organic blackberry coulis. It tastes delicious hot or cold, on cakes and ice cream cakes and is super easy to make over a real wood fire.
Begin by going on the blackberry hunt! Either pick your blackberries from your garden or out in the countryside and pick the higher ones. Aim for the brambles that are away from the road. Wash them thoroughly, then leave them to sit in a bowl of water for about an hour.
Fire up your chimenea or firepit and let heat build and t he flames die down.
When the fire is ready, place your blackberries in your pan with the sugar and the water and bring to the boil over the heat.
Then, blend and mash together to create a smooth blackberry coulis.
TIP! Enjoy hot or cold and don’t forget – once cooled, you can freeze for up to 3 months!
