1 tbsp miso paste
1 tsp Chinese five spice
1 tbsp coconut oil
1 tbsp sesame oil
4 tbsp soy sauce (light)
Chilli flakes
Sesame seeds
Coriander - finely chopped
Rice noodles

Method

This superfood stir-fry is so delicious and ultra healthy. Feel the health benefits of this whole roasted cricket stir-fry in each and every mouthful with Mophagy’s adventurous edible insects! Eating insects is incredibly sustainable, so while helping your body, you’re helping the environment too!

Begin by making your fire in your firepit or chimenea and letting the heat build and the flames die down.

To make this sensational superfood stir-fry, put the coconut oil in a pan and place on the cooking grill over the heat when the fire it ready. Add the chopped peppers, mangetout, spinach, courgette and the mushrooms, then cook until slightly soft.

Add the whole roasted crickets, ginger (as much as desired), miso paste, five spice, sesame oil, crushed garlic and soy sauce, then cook through until hot.

In another pan, add some water and a pinch of salt. Bring to the boil then take off the heat. Add some rice noodles and leave for three minutes to soften.

Once the noodles are cooked, remove them from the water and top with the superfood stir-fry. Alternatively, toss the cooked noodles in the same pan as the stir-fry and mix up. This will coat your noodles in all the delicious flavours in the stir-fry.

TIP! Finish with a sprinkling of sesame seeds and some finely chopped coriander for the finishing touch!
